Candidate for Rancho Cucamonga City Council District 2
Biography
Kristine Scott is a Public Affairs Manager for the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas,) a Sempra Energy Utility.
In this position, she supports field operations through its work with regional and local governments on issues regarding franchises, permitting, emergency preparedness and response.
I proudly serve as the point of contact for communities located in San Bernardino County, educating customers and stakeholders about SoCalGas activities, programs and services, responding to customer and local media inquiries and resolving customer complaints.
Prior to joining SoCalGas, Kristine served as Vice President of TMG Communications, an Inland Southern California strategic communications firm specializing in public relations, community outreach and government affairs. There she successfully managed dozens of community and public information campaigns for Fortune 500 clients, municipalities and agencies throughout California.
Kristine’s career includes an Account Executive position at O’Reilly Public Relations, the Inland Empire’s leading Public Relations firm, where she specialized in media relations, public affairs and public information programs for land use and commercial clients.
In 2012, Kristine received a “Woman of Distinction” award from the 63rd Assembly District, which honors women for their contributions to their job and communities they serve. She has also received the “Volunteer of the Year” Award from the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and was selected as “Associate of the Year” from the Building Industry Association, Baldy View Chapter in 2013.
Kristine graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications specializing in public relations with a minor in American Studies. She is also an alumnus of California Connections (Class of 2015), a statewide, issues-based, learning leadership fellowship through the Southern California Leadership Network and the Inland Empire Economic Partnership Regional Leadership Academy (Class of 2017).
She resides in Rancho Cucamonga where she enjoys discovering new bands, spinning and Pilates and hanging out with her Newfoundland, J.D.
